Krista is originally from Indiana where she grew up with music all around her. Her father being a trombone player, she also chose trombone as her primary instrument. In school she found her love for music and immersed herself as much as possible in that world. She chose to audition at the University of Louisville for Music Education because she was excited about the jazz program. Through her experiences there, she was able to travel to Ireland as well as perform in Carnegie Hall in New York. She was a member of the ensemble who premiered Karel Husa's "Cheetah" at Carnegie Hall. Upon Jon's graduation, they moved to Indiana where she first originally fell in love with music so that she may be able to teach and share that with others. Krista taught as an Assistant Band Director for two years and now teaches General Music. Krista continues to dedicate her time to education in music and instrumental instruction through church, school ensembles, as well as events such as Jingle Bones.
